Ok thats makes sense

so basically on a dyno would be best to tweak the AFR tables and see what you can squeeze out of it economy or power wise depending which way you want to go.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

What Holden202T has said is right, but i'll add a note for any readers planning to do their first tune and thinking purely in terms of AFRs.. Its worth noting that Acceleration Enrichment (aka power enrichment on later pcms) comes in to play when you hit the loud pedal. You dont want set the petrol AFRs to 12.5 if you want max power all the time. After enrichment is applied you'll be so rich you'll loose power and you'll get rubbish economy all the time.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

the newer pcms still have AE (AE is similar to carby pump shot) which decays over a short period of time.
Power enrichment (PE) increases over a longer period of time eg towing, driving up a hill etc

honestly your time on a dyno would be best spent getting the VE table right so the wideband is matching the AFR table, then do the spark .... you really shouldn't need to change a stock AFR table but if you did want to once you change all the above and are happy then yeah you could try changing the AFR table 95-100kpa cells from say 12.8 to 12.6 or 13 etc and see if you get more or less power.

Thanks for the video Holden202T, the Dato will not start without petrol on a 20° day, but once it's been running it will start like a std petrol V6. My n/a methanol Torana will start on a 20° day without petrol, below 20° it needs a little help.
Thanks for the Deka tables, I'll change them & see how it goes.

I think compression helps a lot, my motor is only 9.5 comp for boost but my n/a motor with 13.5 comp started in like 5 seconds and surprised jayme at casino :)

Compression probably helps as the Torana is 12.5:1, but the std VP the Dato's wife has, uses the drilled std injectors on methanol & starts fine cold, like a std car.

I've actually been meaning to try increasing the cranking fuel when really cold to see if it helps

By altering the tables mentioned above, will this make much of a change to the AFR or just tidy things up.

That's hard to answer because it depends how much your battery voltage fluctuates and also how differentthevalues change
