OTG is wiring, you need the OTG cable inline with the usb cable to the interface. The FTDI chip (assuming that is a pcmhacking interface) is supported in android. If its not a pcmhacking interface it'll depend what chip is in it. The Jaycar link is for an sdcard reader, its not the otg cable you need. This is the one you need https://www.jaycar.com.au/usb2-0-otg-fe ... g/p/WC7725 but check the phone end is the right connector for your phone. If its not go to ebay for the same kind of thing but with the right connector. P30 looks like usb c and the pic on the jaycar one looks like micro usb. I'd suggest something like this, its in AU. I have no affiliation with the seller and have not used this one, it just came up in a search. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353764957918 Also some phones (samsung) come with this adapter, if you have a recent samsung or maybe the huawei had one too and you might have it in a draw somewhere.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396

I have to clean my phone fairly much every week after my last shift at work. Paper dust is a bitch.

Interesting, first time I'm hearing that's the issue but I sure will have to keep that in mind from now :) Glad you got it working again!

Ok.

Still bloody warm though. Scary really. Need a good CAI to help keep those temps in check.
