You need to have a stern conversation with whoever organizes the Gunny drags, as every one so far clashes with my work roster! :sad2:

Reference will need to be had post event... ;)

I have a Teclast tablet trying to use for ALDLDroid the problem I have is I cannot power the unit and transfer data for logging at the same time. It appears this is not possible, has anyone been able to power the unit and transfer data for logging at the same time and how did you do it.
Thanks in advance.

your best bet is to find an OTG cable that supports charging at the same time as USB host mode. they do exist. try a google for "android otg charge"

Jayme thanks for the response.

Contacted this supplier asking if charging and data transfer could be done at the same time with the following response........Thanks for your interest in our items, but i'm afraid to tell you that it will not use them at the same time. so sorry for the trouble and inconvenience...........

While it appears it is possible to do this finding the appropriate cable appears to be the problem.

I reckon it would work, but you'd need to add a cig lighter to usb power plug too the mix. I'd spend the $2.42 and try it.

Lava simucharge does it $40us a pop though the other choice from what I've found is roger a normal otg y cable break open the mini usb connector and put a 100k resistor between pins 4 and 5 and it's supposedly meant to turn it into a charge otg cable
