$11p 2bar issue

Had the car idling and free revving fine and engine light came on so I shut it down.

Checked error codes and came up with 51....Eprom Error.

After finding what the code was I went to restart the car to see if it was just a random one of and now the engine won't fire at all.

Reloaded the bin into Tunerpro and reconnected to the Ostrich then reuploaded the bin but still nothing but now the fuel pump relay is randomly clicking and enabling the fuel pump.

Went back to the original file, fuel pump relay is normal but engine still won't fire.

So I have gone back to the original base tune and it fired up. changed the injector size and still ran fine but seems to be if I change anything else or even just reupload to the emulator it won't start again until I go back to the very original base tune.

I have been using cattuner for the last few years and only just started using Tunerpro so maybe I'm just doing something I shouldn't be doing??

51 means checksum doesn't match set program I'D to AA so it doesn't check the checksum
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Cheers mate, pretty much worked out it was user error lol.

Finding out the hard way what I can and can't do compared to TC....

11P code has a modified checksum calculation, the factory calc includes everything in the bin while 11P does not include the calibration area. This is so tuning changes do not constantly need the checksum updated.

If you are getting a code 51 then something in the running code section of the bin is being modified which should not be occurring. You can mask it but you really shouldn't need to. Your bin posted above has some odd changes, but nothing in the running code section has been changed which means the default checksum should still be valid. It could be a bank config issue of the Ostrich setup, someone else might be able to help with this?

I don't know how common the ostrich is here in Australia. I've never seen one in person even myself.

I normally use an ostrich with both 11p and 12p without a problem.
Make sure you have both the dip switches on the side of the ostrich set for 28pin.
In tunerpro right click on the icons and select Emulation Bank if it is not already tucked and then select Bank 8 from the drop down list.
Just a long shot but also make sure you are using a matching XDF file for the bin file you are using

Thanks guys. Pretty sure it was the fact that I was uploading a bin to emulator while the engine was running and Tunerpro was emulating.

Wasn't a problem with TC but TP is set up differently.

yeah i'd say upload cal might be ok with engine running but not recommended for uploading the whole bin.
