Hi Guys,
I have a VT Series 1 V8 Auto, which I have running on both a:
1) VT MAF PCM - The1's Enhanced Mod 1.00
and
2) VS MAP PCM - OSE 11p

I rebuilt the motor after the spider fingers failed and the lifters ate the cam lobes (known problem with VT V8 S1), so I ported the heads and installed a cam along with everything else in the rebuild; thread here for those interested: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5387
Question is: The1 talks about EOI settings for different cams.... I want to know if there are any improvements to EOI that could help with this cam I have in the VT motor over the stock tune?
Comp Cam
Camshaft Part # 12-423-8
Grind # XR276HR-10
Duration @ 0.006": 276° / 282°
Duration @ 0.050": 224° / 230°
Max Lift w/ 1.5RR: .502" / .510"
Lobe Separation: 110°
Lobe ID#'s: 3314 / 3315
Intake Centerline: 106°
AND:
with the VS Setup (11p) are there parameters for injection timing (being bank, not sequential like the VT) that could help with this tune, before I start dialing in a tune?
V8 - Comp Cam Tune Adjustments - Enhanced Mod & 11p
Re: V8 - Comp Cam Tune Adjustments - Enhanced Mod & 11p
No injection timing adjustments in 11P.
As for the enhanced code I've seen a calculator somewhere to help calculate some figures for that. I've never delt with it myself though. It's a decent can but no monster so it may not need much adjustment.

The EOI calculator is in the enhanced mod thread where you download enhanced mod.
EOI is based on 720deg crank rotation.
EOI is end of injection so that is when the injector finishes fuel delivery at that specified crank rotation.
So the calculator can be used as a tool to help visualize the cam events and where the injection event is, i find it handy to input stock cam settings, then your cam settings, you can see the difference and decide a good starting point.
Then from there you can tweak COLD vs HOT and varying RPM settings.

Re: V8 - Comp Cam Tune Adjustments - Enhanced Mod & 11p
nice ok cool. I'll have to find stock cam values.
also I'm not sure it's implemented in VT V8 1.00, hopefully so.

yep VT V8 enhanced just had EOI vs Coolant temp at the moment. So you have some adjustment
