Easy question for the brains trust,

For the AFR to go down (Richer) the VE needs to go up? Or do I have this arse about?

Yep and you can logically remember this cause volume is a measure of space (volumetric) and efficiency is just that. So more ve means more efficient at pumping air means more air. More air calculated means more fuel injected.
