I put in the wrong kinjlow, can I scale the map?

Post by Mr DOHC »

So I put in a setting of 0.1188 for my injectors when it should have been 0.125.
Can I just scale my injector map down by the same difference (5.05%)?

Just change the Kinj/Flow to the figure you want.
Run A/F Param - Displacement/inj flow rate

My tune is near done,
If i change the Kinjflow by 5%, wont it change the entire map by that percentage?
In other words, wont it be richer by 5%

yes you can do the same percentage offset on the VE table.

Will do.

On that similar subject. I have LS1 injectors which are identical to Bosch blue tops except they flow a little less as i am running lower pressure than the LS cars run, 3 bar compared to 3.5 i think. That makes them 24lb/hr rather then 28.
So on my logging, i am running around 70% duty cycle according to the logs around 5000rpm. BUT, i am up around 90-95 on the VE table, its also running a little lean and i need to put more fuel in. Since i cant input more than 101 on the VE table, what can i do to bump it up more?

I think the kinj flow is just part of the calculation and should be set as per the formula but can be scaled up or down the allow you room to move with the VE table.

If you were closer to your Inj./Flow target, then you wouldn't have had to fudge those VE figures.
Are you still running this:
ve.PNG
ve.PNG (43.46 KiB) Viewed 2756 times
As I mentioned once before, those figures of 99.xx are far more than your engine will ever see.
Use the flow rate spreadsheet as your target guide, then adjust your VE table.
Have you fitted that higher flow fuel pump yet?

if you are running out of head room in the VE table then you can offset the injector flow rate to richen it up 5% this will then give you the ability to go higher in the VE table to suit the area that needs it.

its a big of a guessing game, but at the end of the day, as long as the VE table is not at 100 and nothing as low as 0 then its in the ball park.
