Vs commodore rev limiter and manualized auto gearbox

Post by djbrooksy »

Hello brains trust
I'm helping a guy at work with a skid pig
Now I know none of this is good for the car and he has been warned, but it's a $300 police action buy that is only going to die anyway.

But is there a way to manualize the gearbox in the ecu?
Have seen the diode trick online and will just go that direction if no better way to do it.

And I was looking in tunerpro for rev limit settings but couldn't see them. Would like to do away with it all together, am I blind or is there nothing in the xdf for it

Any input is appreciated

V6 or V8?

The transmission up shifts based on road speed, or your case, wheel speed. To stop it up shifting you have to go through all the transmission shift setting tables and raise them. For a skid car I have just put them all up to max.

Id prob do these items, set RPM stuff to FF or 6375

Shifting set to 205, it should be stuck in 1st then. Weather in Drive or Low.

The1 you are a legend. Now I see the fuel cut settings I feel like slapping myself. But then I'm more use to poking around with the 12p stuff so I guess I guess I can let myself off this time.

With them auto settings will it still manually shift 1st 2nd and 3rd? Not to worried about tcc lock up

i can't remember honestly, perhaps just change the low scalars first then test it for shift up and down or see if it's stuck in 1st, then leave the rest if it's working so drive or D2 functions as normal.
