I have lost the plot how to do the vt bin checksum duh

do i change the programme i.d to AA



This bin is a custom bin no idea what for might be worth looking at

You can just change it to $AA or checksum is from $2008-$1FFFF stored at $2006/7.
DDRH is a $A5 Variant K.

EDIT: Ooops, appears to be a kalmaker W5x file.
Interestingly at 21C4 has "IN MEMORY OF MJF GET OUT OF HIS CAL. AFTERMARKET CHIPS ARE SHIT" copied directly out of the factory bin.
Is this an oxymoron?

The vats is all i want off it was unchecked so i set it anyway

its kalmaker W51. haha yeah i saw that comment too, to be fair the cal is is probably the same on the stock kal file as the factory one it was based off just with a different OS.

well that didn't work anyone know the vats address or have the capability to remove it from that tune ?

Ok can someone confirm this is how it works
i think i found the vats in that custom tune at row 2010 in hex do i just change 4b to 43 in that column ?
Or am i way off

I'm not sure how kalmaker have their tunes set up as regard to checksum and ID's.
I believe for these you need to get a code from them so even if you change it, it probably won't let the vehicle start.
This is how they make their money, each new tune is a new code purchased from them.
I think it is at $2011 and change $43 to $4B.

I don't think $AA will work with a kalmaker tune.

The car starts with the key with the previous one i changed but the engine checklight is on.
I will have another go at it tomorrow and try the vats disable at suggested address but i think you maybe right about the checksum AA didn't seem to work.

If the car starts then vats probably isnt an issue.
Try work out the checksum with tp the way yoda 69 said , checksum 2008 - 1ffff.

Checksum from $2008-$1FFFF is for Factory bins, I'm confident kalmaker will be different and more complicated.
