Spent $270 at jaycar during the week & picked up some IP67 plugs/connectors to pass wiring through the back of the cabinet.

Since I want to be able to unplug everything & since the power cable feed to retarders is unpluggable, the load cell, speed sensor also need to be to.

All 3 cables will then be put together & i'll use some heavy duty spiral wrap to protect them.

I will do a similar thing with the incoming power feed & some ethernet cabling which will be used to trigger inputs on Fan VSD's.

Picked up the 2nd Power supply & mounted/wired in the connectors.

So i got the retarders to the workshop a couple of weeks ago, only had a chance to have a quick play before i flew out for work. Found that we had a bit of a vibration happening on 1 of the retarders before it eventually moved in the pillow block & made slight contact with the frame.

On easter friday i moved retarder back into position, drilled pillow block grub screws a bit deeper into the shaft, then attempted to fix the alignment problem by eye-balling it. Ended up shimming 1 side of the retarder and 1st pillow block before the end. No more vibrations & the coupler no longer moves around a whole bunch.

Put my ute back on for some testing again, before i started messing with the boost controller, didn't really make any changes to the tune since the wideband sensor appears to have shit it-self, but love the repeatable power runs it does.

Anyway i took my garmin virb camera down on sunday & recorded this video.

Simply awesome. Very well done!

Could you let us know the final cost of all the parts excluding labour. I've always wanted to do exactly what you have just done.

Great job!
Please don't PM me with technical questions - start a thread instead, and send me a link to it. That way I can answer in public, and help other people who have the same question. Thanks!

I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
