Setting up Ostrich in TP5

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

I've just been asked for help from someone to set up the ostrich for 32 pin in TP5 & I know when I got it set up there was a very wise man that was going to make instructions for this & with bin stacking too!

I haven't used it for a while & can mainly remember you need to set it as bank8, was there any other tricks or tips?

You need to use the G6 Adapter.
Haven't looked for a while so can't remember about multiple files and swapping with rotary switch.

Basics.
Connect Ostrich to G6 Adapter, plug G6 adapter into ECU and load 128k file directly to Ostrich on Bank8.
XDF's should work fine and no need to change offsets.

Just an update, still helping JCA but need to remember to go to VIEW tab & in toolbars put a tick beside emulation bank!

Then you can select where it sends it to!(BANK8)

I haven't done the earlier type with this but get the impression you don't need to do this for the 28 pin stuff anyone know why?

Forgot about that bit, the only place to select bank is from the drop down box.
I normally just turn on all the toolbars, just taken a while to get used to Mark's funky new icons.
I've used Bank8 with most tunes and had no problems.
