Howdy all,
I've told someone I'll update an xdf & then got asked if I can edit it in TP 4 so it's backwards compatible!
So I want to add items from 1 xdf to what I'm updating, but can't seem to find anywhere in to 4.14 new instance to do this?
Is it possible?
TIA vx l67 getrag

The other option I can do which I think I may have to is open up the file I want to copy from in tp5 & copy into tp4!

i don't think the new instance was ever an option till v5, anyways why wouldn't you want to use v5 now ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

My idea didn't work still says tunerpro is already open!
Yeah trust me if it was for just me I would just use tp5, but the person has specifically asked me to edit in tp4 so users can use both!

You can open TP V4 from within V5, by setting it up under custom tools. I don't recall if I had to edit anything else or not. I don't think it will truly allow a proper edit between V5 and V4.
Keep in mind that sometimes things get broken between V4 and V5, so you really need to make a V4 and a V5 XDF to be sure.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Could run a Virtual machine, have TP4 installed and run that in there, then copy the data over from TP5 to the virtual machine version... if thats what your after?!VX L67 Getrag wrote:My idea didn't work still says tunerpro is already open!

Re: 2 instances of TP RT 4.14
Thanks for looking into it, but it's actually pretty cool dealing with files from version 4!
Although they clearly say don't hand edit once you know the parameters & offsets its the easiest way seeing you can't copy paste!
But once they've been used in version 5 it uses different type & can't be done!
