Ok, fixed in v1.03 and ive added that OSID to the LB7 list so it should work on auto anyway. Also fixed the 3 click thing, it was interpreting the security timeout message from the PCM as success instead of wait and retry.

Awesome work Antus. Works perfect on a LB7 Duramax PCM (01-04), I'll be posting a ton of bins soon. I attached two for now, plan on posting a few things tonight.

Also it still don't work on auto key on LB7. I have a few PCMs, so I just tried LLY Duramax PCM (04.5-05). This one didn't read, it's got a 1MB flash and it's almost identical to the E40/P12. Has anyone successfully read out a 1MB bin yet?

What osid? And do you know a good seed/key pair? I can treat it like a 1mb 0411 and see what happens...

Yeah I have the correct key, Seed = 69AE, Key = A9C1. I think the reason it's not auto unlocking is because of OSID? I can give you all OSID's the LB7 has if you want?

Code: Select all

AVT device reset ok

AVT VPW mode ok

Thanks for the testing durahax! 1.04 released and LB7 support is solid. 1024kbyte LL7 support is tested, and will not work with the same 'bootloader' code. That will need to be another project and is not in the works. Pcms with LL7 OSIDs are now locked out (unknown PCMs are still attempted).

Any chance that you could get this to work with the AVT-841 cable that Digital Horsepower used with their software.
I have a AVT-841 serial unit that I use with a keyspan high speed USB adapter, however when I try to use it with your software I get a message that says "AVT device reset failed"

If it is possible to get the AVT-841 unit to work, I would be glad to help with any testing that is needed.

Nice to see things are still alive and doing well. Great work going on here, might motivate me.

Cheers

I was also unable to get it to work with my 841 but it worked fine with my 852. (haven't tried the old 838 yet) I can get the 841 to connect to the AVT term using the keyspan adapter. Hopefully it is a baud rates issue but didn't get a chance to play with it.

Baudrate issues are likely, the virtual speed on the FTDI chip in the AVT make no difference to the throughput so I am not setting the speed at all. What is the default speed of the 841? I can select that speed for all interfaces. Ive been in contact with O1gagt and it looks like the 842 is a slower interface and my comms routines are timing out. I may be able work around that.
