not yet mate, this is currently a proof of concept read only tool. to delete VATS you need software and a cable that can write a new calibration to the pcm with the VATS flag disabled.
this tool is in development at the moment and write features will be available at some point down the track.

Windows xp pro sp3 gives me this error after unzipping and clicking on program.
Probably user error,but can't think what might be wrong.

Yeah I cant see the image here either but I saw it in your post at gearhead-efi. "The application failed to initialise properly 0x000000135". This means your machine does not have the microsoft .net framework on it. There is a link to the download it in the software release thread.

Hi
Just went to down load file and ESET antivirus flags it with a variant of MSIL/Packed.Confuser.B Suspicious application.
I hope this is a false positive.

Been meaning to congratulate you Antus, great work so far :)

In 1.02 it still won't let you add a custom key? I know it's called LS1 Flash Tool but I couldn't help trying on a LB7 Duramax PCM (P/N 09388505 or 12210729). I think it may work, but the LB7 algo for seed and key is different. Here's the correct seed/key.

Seed = 1D 95
Key = 3E 83

Also if you press read 3x in a row it starts sending upload requests even when returning locked status? Here's a log of what happens.

Code: Select all

Ok ill have a look at the algo.

Yeah I tested on an aussie vy ss commodore today and hit that if I hit read within the first 10 seconds of turning the ignition on while the security lockout is active (if I counted to 10 then hit read it worked fine) . Will see if I can get to the bottom of it, though there are no adverse side effects.

You can use a known key, set key to user and type it in then hit read.
