Diesel & late controller tuning software

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

There has been a bit of discussion about hardware to use (Kess, Ktag, BDM1000, FGTech etc...) but just for software alone once you have a read of the controller's who know's whats best (Price & useability) as I thought it was ECM Titanium but been told today that Swiftec is a far better program & setup?

ECM Titanium only has a few basics but I believe it's like other programs where you can add as you discover. My Hyundai Diesel you can adjust fuel maps for each gear and boost fairly easily but as I may have said I am not brave to have a go (wifes car) but intend getting a second hand ECU (marriage saver) and setting it up for her car and playing with that.

I think the consensus is swiftec is expensive, but has things like dpf removal etc. . Winols is cheaper and better, if you have access to definition files (damson, a2l) and or knowledge on how to find tables. Titanium is more a entry level software. The cost differ greatly and the ongoing costs differ. I would think that tuner pro could be used if you have the damos or a2l files. The issue is that people use pattern matching techniques for files they do not have damos for. I have no experience but this is just what is repeated many times. Swiftec offer a remote access trial. It maybe worth a asking them for trial.

I know this isn't the place for it but I'll move it if there gets enough responses....

I paid to get a file converted from factory DPF enabled to disabled & these are the exact differences & if anyone can explain what they are for them to be laid out we can get an XDF started....

If you can get some pictures of the chip set used in it, might help with being able to decompile the bin, and actually match up where those locations are.

Yeah Biggvl I know your after the immo off for that same vehicle I have requested it also but they can't even find if they can do it with the kess file version it has to be a Ktag file for that, so I'm trying to source 1 A.T.M.

Tazzi knowing the chipset & how it relates to the data in the file is a bit beyond me, but I know the hardware number is 3558323030 with hardware version 3558323842 & software number is 1037528429 & software version 3558323541 & I think the most vital information is the controller is a Bosch EDC16CP33.
