Hi all,
I've got a dilemma that seems to be gaining momentum quickly. If you need to replace the PCM in a VE commodore (as an example) you will need the IMMO SEC code to enable linking between the immobiliser and the new PCM. I have been getting these codes from the dealer when required and when the customer has lost the security card that is supplied with the car new. What I have been finding of late is that Holden have dumped or have simply not recorded this data, thus making it very hard to do anything with. For the last three vehicles with this issue I have purchased a second hand module set from a similar car with a known IMMO code and vin changing and then linking. This costs plenty of extra time and lots more money, there must be a better way.
If you want to see what I mean here is a vin from a VE wreck we have here for spares that Holden has no data for - 6G1EK52B77L863958 which is a 2006 Silver sedan with a LEO V6.
I use code calculators for Nissan PATS and Ford's when required that like these - https://www.weboctopus.nl/pats.php haven't been able to find one that will do our Commodore or even Astra for that matter.
Any thoughts?

According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...
Re: Security linking of PCM's in later Holdens
Maybe try grab the immo code form the immobiliser?
Quick look at it.. three main chips.
- MS9S08DZ60 = MCU - http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/dat ... 08DZ60.pdf
- PCF7991AT = Send/receive key signal - http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet- ... 991AT.html
- TH8056 = CAN transceiver
Could go on.. but.. dunno if nutting out how to get immo on public thread is a good idea? ahaha. Mght attract the wrong kinda people
*Edit.. quick pic inside....
