Also confirm there is a jumper across the RW pin on the nvram.

Yup- done that too, but I guess pulling the board out to check it would be a good idea - I've checked and double checked everything else but not that.
Thanks for the suggestion - any other possibilities?

OK - will do that at the same time I check the write wire.
The write has worked on the initial installation, but I have since installed a dpdt switch for the A/B program and started using a new laptop. I was suspect of the laptop communication setup. Maybe the write wire is disturbed, or the RW jumper is off.
Thanks for your suggestions - I hope it's that simple....

There was a recent post of a problem writing to an NVRAM which ended up being a bent pin where the NVRAM/MEMCAL plugs in so worth checking that also. I have defined an item in the 12P ADX to show if the NVRAM is read-only or writable which may help your fault finding. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... ire#p41699

Success!
The RW jumper was on correctly and so was the write-enable jumper wire. Removed and replaced the RW jumper and all seems to work now. I still don't understand what the hangup was but I'll take it.
Thanks for your help guys!

Have you setup the plugin preferences as per the first post in this thread? http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=590

That should allow the ECU to be detected using the initialize emulation hardware button.

To connect and log you need the 12P ADX loaded .. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=356

The NVRAM is loaded with standard 12P V111 V8 bins on both banks.

VL400 everything you have stated i have done this time and last time but also i tried it again later on and the engine fan would come one a soon as the ignition was on to acc so now i do not know wtf is going on might pull the board out of the socket and check pins i hope its not damaged again .

if it is damaged then auspost have stuffed it as the case was slightly bent

Re: OSEPlugin for Tunerpro 5 v1.50

Post by antus »

Version 1.50 has been released. The main change is that verification has been implemented. Click the red circled button to compare the bin loaded in TunerPro with the NVRAM contents. You will either get an OK, or a fail with some debug info.

Keep in mind that some 12P functionality such as knock logging or VE learn can trigger verification failures when there is not a problem. Success you can be sure of.
