What's the good device for this software? j2534
Openport? Something multibrand and cheap. Maybe chineese clone, but except Dice

Most quality J2534 devices are compatible. I have several including a real Drew MongoosePro GM, DG Tech dbriDGe PRo, VCX Nano GM. If not using a genuine GM MDI/MDI2 or Ford VCMII, you will need to load the dll for the device you are using, but this is a trivial step. I suggest NOT buying the cheapest device available, as that price oft comes with fewer features, i.e., fewer protocols covered.

Also, this software, from my experience, does not work well in-vehicle. I use it ONLY with bench top programming. Mostly because it does not silence all bus chatter, which seems to really piss off the modules(including the ECM) on the bus. Otherwise, the software works great for it's intended use.

I will have to reconfirm but pretty sure I have used it with the Nano, I may be mistaken as I have done so many things over the past year with a handful of different devices and software apps.

A quick tool connect confirms my Nano is recognized by the PowerPCM_Flasher app v 0.0.0.6, when GM MDI is connected from the J2534 device list. I am not close to test it with an ECM, but I will be later today and can confirm more from there. My VCX Nano is an original, not a clone. I did NOT have VCX Manager running, just plugged the Nano in to the laptop.

It will init just fine but error out when you try to connect to a vehicle/ecu. Look back a few pages in this thread I posted a log of the pass thru driver and what's going on.

Im sorry not beeing around a while. We had a quite regular summer compared to the Corona Summer in 2020... So i had much more fun beeing outside with the Family and friends ;)

Last weekend we tested my friends G20 VAN with the LS3 and E67 after just standing still in the Garage for 8..9 months. i recognized some Bugs and made me some notes.

Also the log posted here Seems to be a good source for further debugging.

I will work on the Tool in the near future, probably dropping ELM Support...

So keep healthy, best regards, Daniel
I'm still looking/hoping for some T43 tcm support.

Happy to donate some $ for the cause. put it towards beer/dorito's or crypto. lol
