Cloning or just full flash of e40 ecu? I got plenty of tools

Post by RoninDusette »

So I have a client coming through this morning and he has a spare ecm he needs flashed as a stock device. I have a few j2534 devices (mongoose gm pro II, tactrix) as well as tech2win working very well with the mongoose cable. The car I. Question is a 2005 GTO with an e40 ecu. Should I program it with sps to work for his car, or is there any other free option for cloning his whole ecu to the new (but used) one? I have hp tuners too, it I know it won't take care of the whole ecm. Doss pcm hammer support this ecm? I also have a kess and a ktag, but I'm looking for kind of a turn key (pun very much intended) solution so I don't have to eat the cost of the subscription fee to gm. Lol

PcmHammer does not support the E40.
