Also still seem to get no relink. Just says buffer empty on all 6 ecus I have here. The calibration numbers etc have sorted themselves out in the latest version but still have empty buffers in all versions

is the PIM Reset? Otherwise there will be no reply from PIM to that command.

No Pims are not reset. They still maintain their original pins. Will try reset firstThe1 wrote:is the PIM Reset? Otherwise there will be no reply from PIM to that command.

here's both locations with both cables installed, MDI working in tech2win and connecting in J2534 passthrough but no data send/receive and VXDiag working fine in J2534.Gampy wrote:If you have the entries from both installations I'd sure like to have a copy of them ... in NT4 reg version.
What about under,What else is common between them ... Do they install in the same locations ??[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB
A dll that is in a common place and gets over written by each other.
Let me know if you need them with either one installed.

Yep run the reset command with original pin, it will still retain that pin, im guessing the reset command just flips a bit in the eeprom to then allow the code to run for relinking.hsv08 wrote:No Pims are not reset. ok from playing a bit more it looks like a hardware level thing also, i can have the vxdiag and tactrix cable working together fine, then as soon as i plug in the MDI it kills them both and send/receive data is gone. Unplug the MDI and both working again.
Using them by themselves i still can't get J2534 working on MDI without removing vxdiag.

Re: VZ V6 E55 ECU Brute Force Reset Tool & PIM Relink
I suspect the VXDiag is masquerading as the MDI by hijacking the MDI's Vendor ID and Product ID ... Just a guess.

Yeh some funny business with the drivers i suspect as when i have vxdiag setup if i use MDI driver it still uses vxdiag cable.
Re: VZ V6 E55 ECU Brute Force Reset Tool & PIM Relink
I would be looking heavily at the registry entries at Enum\usb ... between the two.

What's interesting is the VCXDiag and Tactrix have the same Vendor ID ...

ftdi chipset?? I know the VCX Diag definitely uses FTDI.Gampy wrote:I would be looking heavily at the registry entries at Enum\usb ... between the two.
