lol, snapon 20.2 and earlier will.
20.4 (current) is broken until next update.
Holden must be making a killing selling and linking ecm's right now.

Holden are doing sweet FA as far as I know.
They have pretty much been cut off getting security codes to do it. It's a bit more timely to get them anyway

Nah they can get them easily, they just don't want to.
Last time I was told that needed proof of ownership and they'd have to email GM merica and I'd get a call once it was done....

Got the proof needed and walked into holden during lunch 30 mins later after no call, all they did was look at the paper work and punch a few numbers into the computer (wanted to know the current owner for vin to update system) hit print and there it was, literally less than 5 minutes.

Maybe it's back. It's been gone for about 6 months. They have had to email off to head office and hold their breath til it comes.
Some codes are stored internally on their systems.
I'll ring my guys tomorrow, I need the code for this ecu on the bench

Well they must've changed something then, it was a week or week n a half ago I went thru chasing a security number and as I said is how it went.
Unless only certain dealerships still can and I fluked it.
I'll see if the boss wants to play a game and see if we can get the next car that rolls thru the doors.
GM would be opening themselves up to a civil lawsuit costing shitloads if they pulled that with australian consumer laws.

I requested 1 yesterday off a wrecked vehicle I bought years ago & they wanted owners details, vin, rego & reason for code & once I gave & explained all that, I got 1 within 5 minutes!

But they did say they only have a certain allotment per day, got lucky I guess!
