I'm not going to waste my time implementing that

Read just the calibration
Then use hexcmp
All calibrations have checksums, these can happily be read out. I believe there was a massive thread ages ago done by The1 which broke down the E55 CVN calculations ect. I would have it in my old app but Ill have to recovery the shit laptop it was on.

Was just a suggestion to make reading instant is all, considering you are collecting the factory OS/Cals thus would make sense.

The cvns are not stored in the bin file. They are calulated on the fly when requested.
Usual range is 40000-1bffff crc32 for the OS
and
1c2000-1FFFFF crc32 for the cal area.

Im sure the OS and cals and CRC defined in the flash memory, Ill take a better look again this afternoon after work.
I know P01/P59 that its done on the fly and not saved into flash, but thought E55 was more like E38 where it had them in the flash.

What interface units are people using? I have tried 3 and it always comes back with the message "no J2534 device connected".

Do you mean "No J2534 Devices installed"?
