Re: low impedance injectors and resistor packs

Does anyone know if the US '165 was ever used with low impedance injectors?? The other day I was doing some experiementing on the bench with the '808 testing the current sensing circuit (it seems to be populated on all my ECMs) but could never get it to limit current when looking at the voltage drop of the sense resistor on a scope - my bench supply maxed out at 10A and could see near 9A of injector current. The only time it looked like the ECM was current limiting was when my smaller bench supply voltage started to drop - could see a 5A peak then dropped to about 3A for the remainder of the injector pulse as the supply caps ran out of juice.

So, not sure if there is automatic current limiting for peak and hold injectors or it was used as feedback for inj fault reporting in other markets (maybe the '165?). I suspect its going to be only for fault reporting being a single driver batch fired ECM.
