Has anyone got experience with this kit? Its for megasquirt but it looks well featured and cheap enough that Im tempted to add one to my collection for delco testing.

Never used one of them but I like the idea of the toothed wheel simulation. I have used a pic to simulate the lexus cam/crank triggers but its not user programmable, was just for some bench testing.

I've got access to one They work very well for the megasquirt, I can't see the coolant/map/air temp sensors etc causing a Delco any problems. If the Delco just needs a square wave pulse for RPM then the basic tach option should work, if you need me to I can scope the output? I'd bench it with an 808 but I don't have a bench setup for one at the moment, but I"ll see what I can do.

Is that the RT 808 ECU you were working on that was in J/commodores a couple of years back?

I have the jimstim and it works well. They are a cheap reliable way to make a good test bench.

The logic analyser I have is great for fumbling your way through the code too!

Yep, thats the old style boards. New ones are available now in limited numbers

I reckon a jimstim might be the go, wonder if a group buy or multiple purchase would make em cheaper. Would save a bit on international post maybe too.

I have a JimStim on my test bench, works well.

I used the "spare" potentiometer for the MAP input. FIDLE LED is connected to CEL, used the spare channel LEDs for various things like boost control solenoid, e-fan, shift light, etc.

I have used the JimStim with a few ECMs, '7747, '7730 and '7749, with various masks. I have a few more ECMs on the bench I need to make harnesses for. I use 37 pin connectors to attach to the JimStim, and an extra 25 pin D-sub connector for extra connections, including battery and ALDL connection.
