Electronics Australia DELCO articles

Post by Rock_Lobster »

The following are articles from Electronics Australia magazine, 1993 / 94

The first one is the C-3 ECM ( DELCO '808 for VN Commodore, Camira, Astra and Pulsar).
A general overview with a bit of info on the BLM side of things. Well worth a look.

The second one is the C-4 ECM (VR Commodore) with an overview on the electronic auto transmission.

6kg is alot of weight especially if your lying under a car trying to lift it up!

well it appears the link has used its bandwidth allocation for a free user!

Happy to help. I read them years ago and thought most wouldn't have seen them before.
I would be interested in finding a copy of the Authors book on the GM delco system, though it is probably nigh on impossible to get now.

I bought the genuine holden workshop manual for VP V8 Engine. best book I ever bought, very comprehensive. it was recommended on the kalmaker site, I remember the guy said it should be renamed "Understanding the delco 808".

Thats a good read, there are a couple of errors but for when it was written has a very very good insight into the workings of both units. Apparently there is also an article that describes how the V8 ignition module works, has a schematic too. Anyone happen to have this? May be handy in fixing the ones that are starting to die now.
