Coils have been changed to units off a VY.

Cars feels allot better especially in throttle response.

Not going to calculate fuel use this week, I've been testing out these coils with my right foot lol.

Seeing the improvement in changing the coils, i'll might as well change the leads as well.

Are any members using the brand Bougicord? Apparently they are OEM? There going for $50 (new) posted on ebay.

Never heard of them, sounds like typical ebay bs to me.

Thought the OEM were AC delco brand? I just use Bosch or Topgun.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

if your looking for something a bit more customisable you can get msd street fire ones, they usually come in a pack of 8 with no ends on the dizzy end and allow you to put the end on that you want.

Got another question regarding the leads.

Are the leads with the metal protection around the plugs better?

i believe this is to stop the heat from the exhaust, buts i've seen even turbo motors without these have no issues so maybe never totally necessary more just a safe guard.

Hey Guys,

I need your assistance and i'm not sure where to post this.

I had the fuel pump changed today. (Check Valve Issues)

Anyways the mechanic hooked up his Autel Maxidas diag to calibrate the fuel gauge. This worked fine.

He also decided to check for any codes. Couldn't find any at the time...

Anyways what he told me is that he did a ECU reset (not entirely sure) and now i'm receiving these 2 errors.

24 -EEPROM Checksum Error

20 - SDM Fault Logged

The car gets the Serv Error on startup and the Airbag light stays on.

He has tried clearing the codes with the Autel Unit but they keep appearing....

Do i need to goto Holden?

Thought i would post an update on my fuel issues.

I have changed the fuel pump in this car and the fuel usage has dropped around 2 Litres per 100km.

Also i haven't been driving to conserve fuel either.

Once I've sorted out my other issues with car i will start noting down my fuel usage properly.
