It describes how knock measurement is handled in the later model (VS V6 onwards) control units

I think it actually describes the 4cyl '165 knock system:

Very interesting read - so if the knock signal is present at the start of the window, it assumes it's noise and doesn't open the window for that cycle, so knock count is not incremented.

So does that mean the '808 does windowing too?
