4L60E gearbox controller
Re: 4L60E gearbox controller
yeah im a bit of a noob when it comes to coding so its pretty sledge hammer style. but works for the range selectors I just used 6 IF statements for the different combinations. now that you mention binary, I probably should have done somehting fancy like combining the readout from the 3 inputs as a 3 digit binary word then used a case switch....

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: 4L60E gearbox controller
Tested the range switch yesterday, no big dramas except for a knife cut on my vero board cutting signal to the 1-2 shift solenoid anyway it all worked as intended.

Cut it into one of the three switches in the centre of the dash below the air ventsHolden202T wrote:just need to integrate the lcd into the dash
Re: 4L60E gearbox controller
Quick Update,
the Prototype board is now in the escort drag car, with shifting buttons on the steering wheel, and phone handset curly cord for the hookup wire. seems to work well on the grass, but waiting for time to get it to some road for a real test!
ive also been busy designing a real board. this is my "Beta board" thanks Holden202 for etching my design for me no laughing at my soldering skills allowed those ex delco 808 pins (under the terminal block) are surprisingly NOT sticky for solder.

hehe yeah looks good from the top, and so long as it works. a lot tidier than the prototype. I like the home made PCB too.

Re: 4L60E gearbox controller
we've all had bad days with the soldering iron man!! either way looks good enough to me and its good to see it populated with components, looks less boring now hehehe
