Re: getrag vss to t5 vss
I can't see why not, but my question why go from T5 to a getrag in the first place?
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

wow its not cheap!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: getrag vss to t5 vss
just get a T5 instead. easier, and probably cheaper in the end.
I think you will struggle getting a getrag to fit up nicely in a VP.

Re: getrag vss to t5 vss
they are the same as VR, however they are all the same from VN2 to VS but only balanced differently.
Also dellows do a billet one fairly cheap considering the ebay price of a 2nd flywheel these days.
only 3 years ago the going price was 50-100 bucks, now people want 250-350 for 2nd piece of shit flywheel. the Dellow ones are 450 and they mirror balance it to the existing one on the engine. You send them your old flex plate/flywheel.
The getrag flywheels are dual mass any I haven't seen ones cheaper than $800-1500
Also the T5 is said to be stronger. I agree on that claim, I have never been able to break one yet despite the day in day out beating I give mine. 600,000km not that far away on mine
Also you will need the bellhousing support brackets. I have like the only pair, they are simple if you would like to copy them out of steel plate.
You will need them long term. other wise bell housing cracks can happen or misaligned gearbox input shaft from sagging can cause gearbox damage.
I have spoken to a guy who had this experience first hand when he left out the brackets and he was also warned by his mechanic that it would happen.
