Chinese Injectors Testing

Post by The1 »

Ive seen this come up in various places, so thought at $10 each off aliexpress id buy a couple and test them. I chose one that looked genuine, but alas they just use genuine photos to get the sale, most of the forums i had read also said these didn't pass @ 70psi line pressure like the genuine bosch's would.

These were ment to be 0280156280 which are 42LB @ 51psi or 3.5bar

I tested the 3 of them @ 51psi, 13.8volts, 6000rpm @ 8ms for the first row and 2500rpm @ 3ms for the second, as you can see no hope in hell of getting a matched pair there. Also of note the spray patterns were all different.

CC/Min

1 348.23 52.64
2 361.14 56.55
3 383.45 66.97

Deadtime @ 13.8volts

1 0.56
2 0.51
3 0.48

Deadtimes nothing good there.

Testing @ 100% DC

51PSI 77.71G/15s 41.11LB/Hr
70PSI 89.20G/15s 47.19LB/Hr

So these did work @ 70psi.

Overall you get what you pay for lol

LOL, we have a definitive answer about chinese injectors now.

Did you test the coil resistance of each injector?

ive chopped one up now, you can see the spring moves inside and draws the shaft at the end up and down it has a ball tip on it

Could be a lot worse e.g. have counterfeit Bosch name on the side. It's not so bad if you actually know you might be buying rubbish, but when you pay for a brand name and get junk that's different.

yeh you get what you pay for, you could buy a heap and try and get a half decent flow matched set but still all the spray patterns are all over the place, by the time you did that you may as well have bought the genuine thing, but yeh they do work and the flow the rated amount but everything else is up the creek

this is exactly what I suspected. One of the main reasons I risked and went for a Deka OEM replacements over new Bosch ones as none of the ones I could find were genuine German made Bosch. Glad I did as I got the results from The1 and they were very good for non matched set.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
