newb with questions on EBL

Post by edfiero »

I am a new tuner and new user of EBL Flash. EBL looks like a great product, but I have so much to learn.
I am using EBL on an old application that doesn't an IAT sensor, and the wire harness I'm using doesn't have a wire for one either.
Can the IAT be disabled in the Tune? I've searched thru the BIN with TunerPro and don't see any one value that would let me disable it.
Thanks

Probably, but there are not many (if any) EBL users here. http://www.gearhead-efi.com would be your best bet.

You'll probably want to check for DTC (error codes) when running the car, and then set a flag to not trigger the CEL for that code. The computer will see the IAT voltages are out of range, know not to use that data, but will not trigger the CEL as that configuration is normal. If you dont wire in an IAT though you'll need to tune spark for the hottest intake temps you think you are likely to ever see, else it'll be likely to ping on a hot day.
