serial cable wont connect to the laptop
For some reason I can't connect the the serial cable to the laptop. I've followed all the data logging instructions in the pdf file but it just won't connect

You need to add a lot more detail to that post for people to understand the question in enough detail to help. What serial cable? What PDF file? What are you trying to do? What operating system? Do you have internet available on it (for drivers)? Whats working/whats not? What have you tried?

is it connecting to the car your having issues with or just the laptop detecting the interface ?
