Interesting report there gtrboy thanks. On a mate's V6 we removed old MSD coils and fitted yellow jackets with a noticeable gain. They've aged a bit now so might look to upgrade this way to. Thanks

The gorst are better value at $60 if you have time to wait for them...delphi coils were in stock $80-90 & finding most issues with vp ute caused by non-genuine items even though parts tested within specs like the yellow jackets.

the 2 dead MSD's ive tested when they die they dont die like factory coils they still output 30mm of spark or so compaired to 10mm of a dead N/A coil, which is enough to keep a N/A going happy with a miss here and there, So without testing you wouldn't really know. In general reading and talking to a few people in conversations about coils MSD's seem to generally have a bad wrap because of the failure rate and also splitting open, perhaps something they've tried to fix in the latest Revision, time will tell.

I've put them on my modded VT L67 Calais. I plan on opening up the spark plug gap from 1.1mm to stock 1.3mm and see how it performs.
How did you go?

I fitted a new set of NGK BPR6EF-13 into my VT L67 today. It pays to check the gaps as they were all approx 1.2mm. Gapped them all to 1.3mm and will test it out.

ZZP have released a new coil also.

They say it's a high output. Most likely just like the MSD ones.
Be good to test one of them also
