VR NVRAM

Hi there I have a customer brought in a 128k nvram with a standard memcal attached to the side of it it is marked delcohacking.net 128k NVRAM 2010 MPR rev 2.1.How does this work ?can I read it with tunerpro 5? I cant get ose to connect.

not to sound out of school but can you be more specific about the car and what you are trying to do? is it auto or manual? if manual is it an 808 or later 305/082? what interface are you using? does it run? i ask this because if the nvram is corrupted it wont talk to the flash tool. if it has an un modded 808 it wont talk to the flash tool. if you have an interface with a non genuine fdti chip you may have driver problems with later versions of windows. without knowing any of this info it is a bit like me asking you how full my beer is haha.

it has a modified 808 with usb port in it.
the engine runs but fsns are constantly on.

is the check engine light on? you may have a corrupted nvram. do you have an eprom burner?

Does the fuel pump prime for a couple of seconds when you switch the key on?
If so I believe that means the code is running and the nvram is not corrupt? Is that correct?
If that's the case it's just a matter of working out why tunerpro won't connect to it.
If the fuel pump doesn't prime then maybe it's running on the limp home resistors from the connected memcal and there is an issue with the nvram itself.

If anyone who knows for sure could confirm or correct me that would be good

Also have you tried jumping the diagnostic request pin (usually in the diagnostic connector on VN/vp but who knows on a VR converted to 808) and seeing what codes flash on the engine light?

check engine light is on.
yes I do have eprom burner .
I have tried to read codes light just stays on.
scan tool does not connect to engine but does to air bag & abs & bcm.
Is there ment to be an interface between 808 and lap top
or just a normal usb cable.

can you grab a read from the nvram and post it up might be able to help sounds like it is running in limp mode. if the 808 has a usb port it should have the interface mounted inside so just a usb cable is required and the drivers loaded to the laptop. where are you located? i am in brisbane if you are close i may be able to help.
