Holley Sniper EFI

Post by SL/EEPER »

hey all just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with the Holley sniper EFI kit? looking at putting it on a blue 253. all the online videos seem to be all positive and at around $2000 seems good value.

Poor quality (3 out 5 that I've fitted had defects).

The tunability is poor compared to others on the market.

Tiny screen that is temperamental and generally hard to use.

It's cheap for a reason.

is there any better brands on the market that you know of?

i have rebuilt the quadrajet and its running well but wouldn't mind playing around and putting EFI on it.

MSD has given me the best results on big cam engines.

FAST Is fantastic on the street and has the ability to run E85. Early FAST had controller firmware issues but the last couple have been fine.

I'm pretty sure Eric the Carguy on Youtube tried one on his build, don't remember him being that impressed with it.

why not just fit a vn/vp 304 wiring loom and sensors, then get a throttle body to suit the 253 manifold ?
