Hey guys, i picked up a loom and ecu from a vs manual the other week, and today when i was checking the loom over i came across this little guy. Not sure what it is, what its for, or if its needed. Is it a BCM sim? It was wired in near the ecu/aldl plug.
Cheers.
Anyone know what this board is?

Well, it's some sort of divide-by-ten circuit. It has a pulse train input (which might not be a square wave), feeding a transistor amplifier, thence a 4017 divider IC, feeding a transistor/MOSFET output stage with pulse-by-pulse current-limiting protection.

Sounds like they're on the money above. Def not a sim (even though it says VT Sim on it), as there is no processor in there for any kind of digital logic or comms, just a good old analog circuit.
