Hi guys,
I am in the process of retro fitting VT V8 manual ECU & harness to my HQ tonner.
Best advice I can give is check everything with an "LED" test lamp (Computer safe) and a multimeter.
Every schematic I have looked at (even the ones from here) are wrong. I have the genuine holden CD w/shop manual & it is not an exception. Wire colors are wrong in a few areas.
F5 at ECU shows as grey-blue to terminal 86 of the start relay. Which will supply negative to engage the relay.
I have 2 unmolested harnesses which have blue.
So if you think of being smart & use the engine bay connectors from a donor car like I am, check & double check. Take notes.
They also show orange-black as a batt. power wire. they also seem to have used violet in a number of other circuits in the harness where the schematic shows another color.
I will up date once I am finished.

Why accept stock, modified is better...

I recently done a V6 and colours were different to the Holden diagrams but pin locations were correct.
