mil light stays on cranks no spark
Re: mil light stays on cranks no spark
That's no good. How did you verify you have injector pulse?

led test lamp across inj terminal

with the ignition on you should have power at the injectors and to the coil pack.
if the injectors are pulsing then the ecm has to be getting a signal from the CAS/coil pack .... so it kinda doesn't make sense.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: mil light stays on cranks no spark
i know its weird but I don't much. all I can work out is its got inj pulse, power at dfi but no spark no power out of dfi which wiring dia says powers cas cam as .d9 at pcm should get 12v on ignition from cas but isn't. dfi's got earths which it supplys to cas cam a s which there getting dfi's not getting 'bypass' input. b9 on pcm should get 12v when ignition on but doesn't pcms getting power, power from ignition, earth. cant figure out why 12v isn't coming out of dfi for cas. tried 3 dfis all have been sitting around for a bit but came out of running cars and still nothing.

Take a coil off the DFI and put the test light across the coil terminals, crank it over and see if it pulses.
Check one of the terminals has power all the time.
Have you washed the engine?
Maybe all the coils are cracked and have shorted out.
If the test light doesn't pulse you can confirm its nothing to do with coils/leads and definitely a primary circuit fault (DFI module, CAS, wiring, power supply's or earths)

Just my two cents but is the tachometer wire not shorting to earth or got connected to positive?
I had to fix a car with a similar prob and the wire was connected with power so every dfi he put on got fried.
Most probably not but worth a mention.
