VT 5L Sequential injection onto VS - Loom modifications

Post by Whyzee »

As the title suggests, I'm in the middle of modifying a s1 VT 5L loom so that it'll suit my VS 5L.

Just after some guidance as to whether I'm going about it the right way. I've been following this diagram (in conjunction with a couple of others).
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2265

Here's where I'm at in determining the plugs on the VT side:

PLUG 1 (closest to engine)
Pink/blue -Auto trans (+12V feed from EFI relay)
Blue/white -High speed fan relay trigger
Red/white -Crank sensing (is this the main ECU power? - feed from fuse 10 under dash)
Green/white -Fuel pump relay trigger
Violet/white -Speed signal to dash
Light blue -not sure what this does? - the diagram I'm working with shows this should be blank

PLUG 2
Pink -MAF, Canister purge, O2 circuit etc (+12V feed from EFI relay)
Red -Injector power (+12V from EFI relay)
Grey -Starter relay trigger
Light Green -Coil (+12V)
Grey/Blue -Reverse lights/inhibitor
Dark Green -A/C Clutch (From A/C relay)
Light Green/black -A/C gas pressure switch

PLUG 3 (Grey one)
Brown -Tacho signal (Coil -ve to dash)
Red/Black -Security signal to BCM
Blue -Power/Econ switch
Orange/Black -Trac Control/ABS (not req for VS)
Pink/Black -Power to ECU via Fuse 14 under dash (+12V)
Light Green -Not sure where this goes - no.24 in diagram
Brown/Blue -Not sure where this goes - no.42 in diagram
Both of the above wires go to the neutral start and backup switch - guessing I probably won't need these?

Plug 4 (Single diagnostics wire
Black/white -Connect to pin 6 of diagnostics port under steering wheel

So from what I can tell, it's just a case of finding the corresponding wires on the VS, soldering it together and plugging it together. Looks like I'll need to extend the wires for the third plug that sits next to the ECU for the VS so that I can plug everything in at the firewall, then fit a VS S3 roller memcal, fit a VS oil pressure sender and water temp sender and wire them separately to the VT loom and it'll be good to go.

Is there anything else I need to be aware of, or any major obstacles (or mistakes in my interpretation of the diagrams so far)?

Thanks
