Hey guys
I have a 082 ecu to tune with the NV ram setup but the car is using a vn loom so it doesn't have the diagnostics plug wired.
I am going to wire in the aldl plug so I can connect through the aldl interface I have. Just need to confirm are these the only three wires that need to be connected to the plug? This is a vr manual v6 diagram.

4 and 5 for earths and 9 for data don't need 6 unless you want to flash error codes with a paper clip some aldl cables may need 12v ignition on pin 16 I think it is but try without
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Yep thats right, to add to the above post you don't need pin 16. for check engine light diag mode you bridge 5 and 6 and that's all thats needed.
All mine are wired like above as I like to use the ALDL cable instead of the direct USB cable. My ECUs are either VR manual ones or 808 with the SXR board added in for the same high speed com function.

power to pin 16 is handy if you have a data logger you want to power
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

i wired mine with constant 12v so if the car was turned off the logger would save the log and not loose power (lost a lot of logs because of this)
