Vt 5l injector pulse.

Post by Baillie122 »

Hi I have a vt 5l turbo conversion.
I have 12v Power to 1 side of the injector hats on all 8 injectors
But nothing on the other side.
My spark plugs are dry and I am getting spark.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Alex.

security issue? still should fire the injectors momentarily before the fuel cut in that case, so wont be 100% dry. Would be a no start, or die after a couple of seconds.

Hey Antus nah plugs are fully dry pulled out injectors too and no pulse.
12v on 1 side nothing on the other but when I try and crank I'm lucky if I get 1volt on the side that has nothing while ignition on.
Thanks Alex

Could be that the injectors are jammed which can happen if the engine has been standing for a long time.

Check the injector pulse with a test light and if it flashes Kojab is right.

Checked injector hat with a test light no flash just went dimmer on the 12v red wire side when cranking.
No light on the other side even hooked test light up to positive terminal to check for light and no luck. Multimeter on that side of injector hat stating no volts and whilst cranking .75-.8 of a volt.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks Alex.

Not sure how you checked the pulse. Did you put the both light leads into the injector socket?

I have had this happen multiple times before. Most people over look this.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
