can i get some meanings? :D still learning so esc is a new one...these are my guesses.

esc attack: time taken to engage?
esc recovery: time taken to go back to normal?
esc ignore: i have no idea :S

The attack rate is how much spark advance gets pulled vs the amount of knock - it is deg/ms where deg is the amount of timing pulled and ms is the amount or duration of the knock. The ignore table is prob what you will need to tune out false knock, if you know that at X RPM there is always a certain amount of knock retard caused by engine noise you can ignore that amount, but anymore must be real so it will still retard timing. The recovery table is how quickly the PCM gives you back the knock retard after pulling spark.

so if i get 5kr at 5200-5300 every time i should use the esc ignore? in that rev range its set to 1.71, so i would go up from that figure? to 1.95 or 2.2 (< these are the times for the lower rev range)

and recovery rate is 26secs for most of the rev range?

Yeah you will need to increase it, the actual knock counts (which can then work out the ms of knock) are not logged so it will take some playing with numbers.

Recovery is in deg/sec and works much like attack except its seconds rather than ms and adds the spark back in

just got back from another logging session. i've figured something out!

i only get knock retard from 1-2 at 5600! and by the time 2nd is fully engaged almost full timing is back anyway. my idea of it is its like limiting power during high rpm gear change to help in shifting gears.

however if it changes 1-2 at 5,550 no kr at all! so i can either live with it being there during gear change only or i can lower the shift point so it changes before 5600.

timing is at 6degrees above 5200. and ESC is only adjusted in the ignore table. i doubt there would be to much power lost in 50rpm so i might try lowering the shift point.

at 2:16 there is a 100% tps run with no kr into 2nd maximum revs 5550.
at 6:22 there is another 100% tps run but revving to 5600 and getting 5kr.

5600rpm is usally the start of fuel cut for the rev limiter. So either bring your 1-2 shift down or raise the limiter.

i've noticed its when the maf flat lines aswell. i think ill just lower the shift point.

yep sounds like MAF limit, ive added Fuel Cut table the xdf so 1.91 version is up in the xdf section, they raised the rev limit on DUWL as well over the previous versions.
