Is knock sensor white bit removable?

Looking about on ebay for a spare memcal and a lot of them are from V6s and they have the white ceramic thick film hybrid knock sensor circuitry. Have not had a close look at one, so, will this piece come out easily so I can convert it to a V8 one? Must change the resistor packs too, I know.

You can leave the knock filter on there, the v8 non-hsv has knock control disabled. And can convert the v6 to v8 .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... lit=netres

Limp home mode will be poor but its unlikely to ever need it, and can just leave your original memcal in the car as a spare.
