vy flash pcm locked

ok so tonight i was wanting to flash a different tune on my vy but for some reason i couldnt connect and was asking for a security key??

i have never used a security key ( dont even know how to put one on the pcm)
i am running the enhanced bin's but have been able to flash it a few times before without any drama's

has anyone got any suggestions on how i can fix this?

Looks like the security section may have been erased or programmed with all 0xff.
If it asks for a key maybe try 0xFF ,0xFF
Also looking at the calculated key ,the algorithm must be very similar to ls1 pcms.

Yeah like vn5000 said, looks like a blank cal has been written.

The PCM was locked by Holden when it was produced but the flashtool normally handles that for you unless a custom lock has been used. There is also a key finder under the tools menu of the flashtool, its takes a little while but no where near as long as LS1 PCMs.

I tried that code it didn't work so I'm going through the key finder process now, how long can this possibly take to find the key?

When you say blank cal, do you mean part of the cal wasn't written correctly or the whole lot? Because the car drives okay atm...

It's there anyway to write a new tune over the old one? Or does it require the code to do that? I've ran the key finder for 2 hours so far with no luck

You wont be able to reflash till you have the code,theres 65535 combinations ,on an ls1 pcm it can take me up to 5 days to unlock them depending on key value.

On these flash PCMs there is no delay between attempts so is much quicker. Never timed it, but its hours and not days luckily.

As the seed was FFFF the key is possibly the same, surprised it didnt work.
