I am having similar problems with error "Did not get response from programmer.
Demo only."
Tried installing "GQ USB Driver 2.01" but will not allow, error says driver is not digitally signed
I have Win 8 (64) machine

I have even tried running the software in XP SP3 compatability mode......no cigar

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I havent tried installing the software on my win8 laptop yet, ill give it a go myself today at soem point. if all else fails.... install VMware player, load up a XP cd and install windows. when you plug in the gq-4x vmware can map that usb port direct to the virtual machine and you can use it as if you were on a real xp machine. ive got one installed as the back up plan.

have you set it to the correct chip.have you blanked the chips in the eraser for long enough and not too long.
