Hello Everyone,
I'm new in Australia and new in the memcal tuning, but i have 3.8 V6 issue what i need to solve.
The motor goes into a Ford Transit which i'm sure many have seen it before. The problem i have
is i wanna hot rod the ecu in another word immo off. I have a beeprog programmer to read the memcol but
i don't know what type of chip it really is. I have tried a few options and they kind of read it but none could verify.
Do you have a list of what chip is what ? or just could you tell me what is this one please?
I've also made an adapter for the chip which you see on the other photo it is a pin to pin conversion, is that correct or
your adapters have anything else in them?
I've also attached the cal sticker is anyone has a immo off dump for this or can give me some clue which software can i use.
Thank you,
bali

Re: Memcal Types??
Its a 1 megabit 27C series eprom. It's the DDRF tune, you can get a copy to check against in this thread http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3 . Its A5J type. Have a look at the FAQ (button in the top right) and have a read of the guides, and a skim over the Q&A. It should get you started.
Have you read the FAQ? For lots of information and links to significant threads see here: http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1396
