Issues writing to DS1245Y from vt to vs
I have looked everywhere through the forums for the last couple of hours, (maybe not hard enough) with no luck on finding how to setup my NVRAM to tune a VS s2 V6. The NVRAM was previously has been used in a VT V6. I am using a GQ-4X burner, will read fine with all code there but am baffled as to how to erase and re-write code to these little suckers. what is the process of preparing the NVRAM for a VS?
really appreciate the help, thanks guys.

Re: Issues writing to DS1245Y from vt to vs
that's what I thought, so I should just be able to plug it in the way it is (VT) and upload my VS bin to NVRAM and away it goes?
it wont connect to vehicle, have check jumpers both are in VS position and the other at RW.

you need to program the nvram with the vs realtime bin with the gqx4 then plug in and away you go

Re: Issues writing to DS1245Y from vt to vs
are you selecting the right option in the programming software for the NVRAM and also have you removed the NVRAM chip from the memcal socket and plugged it directly into the programmer ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

yep DS1245Y is selected and out of socket, was able to write BZPT_MOD bin 128k file to NVRAM, code verified ok yet car wont run, thermo fans on and just cranks, possible corruption of NVRAM? is running in an auto VS V6.

if a stock memcal works in the pcm its probably not the issue....
have you tried reading it back afterwards and comparing it in tunerpro to the file you wrote to it to make sure its not corrupting ?
