DS1230Y question.

Post by Dave001 »

Hey,
I'm looking at putting a DS1230Y into a v6 memcal and would like to verify I've got the pin outs correct.

Stock eprom pin 27, connected to pin 1 on DS1230Y, pin 27 on DS1230Y connected to 808 write pin.

Thanks in advance.

Well, A14 is correct, but I don't know if there's a suitable /WE signal or if the /CS or /OE signals need modification for correct timing to permit reliable R/W operation, as the NVRAM Converter modules here include additional glue logic.

With /WE disabled, read-only operation should be OK, but then other memory types like FRAM, Flash and EEPROM become a consideration.

For the DS1230Y yes just those two pins.

However, they corrupt really easily without any power conditioning.
