Full comms and engine running with the lender and my NVRAM fitted.

Next challenge gettig another one. There was one on ebay but the user doesn't want to know me.
Fitting an SXR board to an 808is an option. But that job is above my skill level.

Its easier than installing a USB comms thats for sure. Easy as!

I fucked an 808 trying to install one once. Brought another 808 and took it to a local electronic shop. Fitted a USB comms not long ago pissed it in lol

I just used leads cut from resistors, soldered them into the ECU, then I pushed the SXR over them and soldered the pads, trim off excess leads.

The resistor wire ends are probably a good idea. The solid links are a lot less forgiving for perfect alignment.

That's why I didn't use the provided solid pins as they firstly were too fat to fit the through holes and no give for alignment and thermal expansions.

I've got my new 082 ecu here and installed. Fitted my NVRAM and engine wont run, but it runs with a memcal fitted (different calibration to what's on my NVRAM) Here's the read I've taken just now.

read1nvram.bin
(128 KiB) Downloaded 274 times

After Jayme's help on a previous page I've split the read into 4 and the data looks to be what I expected reading in tuner pro.
So I thought I would re burn it anyway. Put the NVRAM into my GQ4X set the device to DS1245Y. Clicked on ID and it said not supported, clicked on erase and says not supported or not needed. Here's the .bin I'm trying to burn.

newstocknvram.bin
(128 KiB) Downloaded 299 times

I'm sure when I borrowed another 082 my NVRAM was working, I'm sure it was??
Any feedback appreciated. From what I cans see it should fire

you tried to write to the nvram ?

also has the nvram chip been removed from the memcal board and put directly in the burner socket ?

When I went to write to it I assumed I'd need to erase it first that's when it said it's not supported or not needed.
Do I just write straight over existing data?

Yes it's been removed and fitted straight into the burner.

Thanks

yeah just write to it and see how you go.

but having said that I would have thought you could ID it.... might be dodgy socket connection ?
