VR memcal EPROM settings
Hi Chaps
About to program my first memcal and wondering what device type I need to select on the programmer for a factory VR EPROM?
Plan is to erase the cal that's on there and install the $11P V104 BLCC V8 bin (VR V8 Auto).
Cheers in advance.

27c512 if I'm not mistaken.
If you are using the GQX4 programmer use the identify device function to get a more specific device type.
Read and save teh COME tune and post it here, always good to add more info.

Cheers Immortality..
I'm not using the GQX4 but managed to id the device (27C512).
I didn't think we were allowed to post COME Racing cals due to copyright?? If that's not the case, I am happy to put it up here..
Also, I have a stack of 27C512 EPROMs here but they are 100ns unit.. are they fast enough to use?

Keep in mind that with no knock filter you will want to max out the knock retard temp so that it never enables. Else it'll pull 9 degrees timing, always. Unless of you have the knock filter and are reinstalling it, in which case disregard.

Yep, that's the bugger.
Re: VR memcal EPROM settings
I have a vague recollection that you need 90ns or faster.hoopstar wrote:Also, I have a stack of 27C512 EPROMs here but they are 100ns unit.. are they fast enough to use?
